Hollywood Beach, as I have written for years, has always been a small community in a great location that just has great real estate prices compared to the neighboring cities. Homes are available in walking distance to the beach for as low as $300,000 and of course all the way up to the multi millions. For those readers that may not be familiar with the location, it is south of Fort Lauderdale and north of Aventura. It is very accessible to Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, I95, Federal Highway. It is a great location.
It is also, in my opinion, a very charming community. The homes offer old Florida charm and are diverse in their architecture. There are homes from the 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. It is so wonderful to see renovations of these homes respecting the original charm and style of the period.
In the condo market, there are of course new luxury oceanfront condos like Trump Hollywood and the Diplomat Residences, but there are some older lovely condos on the intracoastal and the ocean. Whether its a house or a condo, generally speaking the price per square foot will be considerably lower than other communities with the proximity to the ocean.
There is a lot available living in the community. There is a wonderful Broadwalk with restaurants and hotels and the new Jimmy Buffet Margaretaville Resort is under construction. This is an evolving community with great music and civic events.
Hollywood Beach is a great location and great buying opportunity.
